my reality is blurred: "God gave us free will, so everything we do is a choice."

jzurlinden:

I’m walking down Scott Hamilton, on my way to campus to meet some friends. I look ordinary. Ipod, computer bag, winter coat, converse. Then these two women in a little red car come driving up the street. They stop about fifty yards ahead of me and I don’t think anything of it. The next thing I…

Handing Out Stars: How my experiences with feminism and the church are similar in the worst way

handingoutstars:

I grew up a Christian. When I was 11 years old, I decided to go into ministry, and I did. I worked with all ages and studied Religious Studies at a Baptist University, with a concentration in Christian Education and a minor in Youth Ministry. I was a queer person. Like other queer folk, I was…

Next time someone (white) calls something ghetto, I’m going to ask them, “Do you mean resourceful? Clever? Creative?” Because if you live in the ghetto, those are all things you have to be to overcome your situation. If you don’t have money to do things the easy way, you have to think outside of the box.

If you answer, “No, I meant ghetto as in shitty,” then don’t be surprised if a fist comes flying.

What did you do today?

X1(s)/W(s)=[(c1*s+k1)*(m2*s^2+c2*s+k2)] / [m1*(m2*s^2+c2*s+k2)*s^2+{c1*(m2*s^2+c2*s+k2)+c2*(m2*s^2+c2*s+k2)-c2*s^2-k2*c2}*s+{k1*(m2*s^2+c2*s+k2)+k2*(s^2+c2*s+k2)-c2*k2*s-k2^2}]

X2(s)/W(s)=[(c1*s+k1)*(c2*s+k2)] / [m1*(m2*s^2+c2*s+k2)*s^2+{c1*(m2*s^2+c2*s+k2)+c2*(m2*s^2+c2*s+k2)-c2*s^2-k2*c2}*s+{k1*(m2*s^2+c2*s+k2)+k2*(s^2+c2*s+k2)-c2*k2*s-k2^2}]

Simulate the motion of the car suspension described by the preceding two transfer functions for m1=350kg, m2=2500kg, c1=9000Ns/m, c2=450Ns/m, k1=300000N/m, k2=75000N/m, and w(t) is a step displacement acting on k1 and c1.

I solved the transfer function for you, all I was given was a picture of a tire and a bumpy road.

A friend of mine posted a picture of his daughter on facebook today wearing this, granted, pretty cute t-shirt with two glasses-wearing beavers that said, “Smart like Dad.” He commented that they’d tried to find one that said “Smart like Mommy,” too, but that the only alternative was “Pretty like Mommy.”

Yup. Nice to know that in 2011, kids still get to choose what they want to be: smart like a man or an object for other people’s viewing pleasure like a woman.

Forget about giving kids the choice… those kids have no say; they are being coerced into patriarchal standards before they can talk.

hefox:

Not sure if it’s related to her being trans or not.. but O.O! Other lgbt have been found burned to death recently? O.O

This is some seriously fucked up shit that needs to STOP… If you burn someone to death and you’re pleased with that… then YOU ARE NOT A HUMAN BEING.  End of discussion.
